NextJet secures new owners following recent bankruptcy

NextJet, which filed for bankruptcy on 17 May 2018, will be rebranded as "Air Scandic" following its purchase by a Swedish company owned by Norway's Olsen Group and Danish Air Transport (DAT).

The airline plans to resume operations on 11 June 2018, with initial flights to be from Stockholm Arlanda to Mariehamn. Other routes to follow.

The role of Danish Air Transport remains unclear, however DAT has operated ACMI flights out of Mariehamn, on behalf of the Olsen Group.
