Kevin Hernandez, VP Marketing and Sales at Vacation Express said, "We are excited about adding more flights from Detroit; we know Jamaica will become a popular destination for us this winter. For people still looking to get away this summer, Vacation Express still has a limited number of vacation packages available on our non-stops to Grand Bahama Island and Cozumel.”

“We are excited to see new options to the hottest destinations in the Caribbean during Detroit’s cold winter,” said Joe Cambron, Wayne County Airport Authority Director of Air Service Development. “Vacation Express is a great way for our passengers to fully experience the sandy beaches of Montego Bay or Punta Cana in one easy package.”

All Vacation Express public charter flights from Detroit to Jamaica and Punta Cana are operated by Sunwing Airlines on a Boeing 737-800 series aircraft. During flights to either destination, travelers can enjoy in-flight entertainment, a non-alcoholic beverage and a snack. For only $45 each way, travelers also have the option to upgrade to Elite Plus seating, which includes extra legroom, a free checked bag (up to 66lbs.) and priority check-in and boarding.

While travelers may purchase airfare only for roundtrip flights, most travelers are booking vacation packages with air and staying at all-inclusive resorts. Packages can be booked online at VACATIONEXPRESS.com, by calling 1-800-309-4717 or through a local travel agent.
