Frankfurt, 18 May 2018 - The holiday airline, Condor, celebrated its maiden flight from Frankfurt (FRA) to Phoenix (PHX) in the US state of Arizona today. The state, also known as the Grand Canyon State, will be served non-stop from Frankfurt on Mondays and Fridays during summer 2018. The Boeing 767 took off today at 11:40 a.m. for Phoenix under flight number DE2026.
"We are delighted to add Phoenix, a very attractive and exciting destination, to our steadily growing network. In recent years in particular, we have expanded our services in North America and fly to a total of sixteen destinations in the USA and Canada," says Ralf Teckentrup, CEO of Condor. "Phoenix is a special destination for us, as the city was influenced by its 5 Cs (cotton, cattle, citrus, climate and copper) early on. We hope to establish a sixth C with Condor."
The following destinations in North America can be reached non-stop with Condor: Austin (AUS), Baltimore/Washington (BWI), Las Vegas (LAS), New Orleans (MSY), Minneapolis/Minnesota (MSP), Portland/Oregon (PDX), Phoenix (PHX), Pittsburgh (PIT), Seattle (SEA), Anchorage (ANC), Calgary (YYC), Fairbanks (FAI), Halifax (YHZ), Toronto (YYZ), Vancouver (YVR) and Whitehorse (YXY). With our sister airline Thomas Cook Airlines UK, the US destinations Boston (BOS), Las Vegas (LAS), Los Angeles (LAX), New York (JFK), Orlando (MCO) and San Francisco (SFO) are also currently available via the hubs in Manchester, London Gatwick, London Stansted and Glasgow. The British airline will also add Seattle (SEA) to its route network at the end of May.
