Nepal Airlines to acquire two A320neos following board approval

National flag carrier Nepal Airlines obtained approval from its board of directors for the purchase of two A320neos by the end of 2019. A global tender to soon follow for the aircraft.

The two jets are expected to cost US$120 million, with financing from the Employees Provident Fund.

The aircraft will help the carrier expand its international network. No announcement was made on which destinations the airline was considering.

Meanwhile, Nepal Airlines is scheduled to take delivery of two A330-200s in July and August 2018, both on lease from AAR, based in the US.
