Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) is pleased to announce that it has committed to lease two Embraer E195 and one Embraer E175 to Air Burkina, the first of which was delivered in November 2018 to a delegation of the airline led by Transport Minister Vincent Dabilgou and CEO Blaise Sanou. The remaining E195 and the E175 are planned to join Air Burkina’s fleet in December 2018 and January 2019, respectively. Air Burkina intends to use the aircraft to replace its current fleet of two Embraer E170 aircraft and to expand its network and frequencies.
“We are delighted to welcome Air Burkina as a new customer, joining our steadily growing customer base on the African continent, and appreciate their confidence in NAC to support their fleet renewal,” said Martin Møller, Chairman of NAC.
Vincent Dabilgou, Transport Minister of Burkina Faso, who, together with Air Burkina’s CEO Blaise Sanou, led the delegation that received the first aircraft, commented that “This aircraft represents the first step in Air Burkina’s plan to modernize the fleet and expand its network, providing the Burkinabe people with more options for travelling the continent.”
“Air Burkina’s success is a major boost for connectivity in the region,” said Raul Villaron, VP Sales, Middle East and Africa, Embraer Commercial Aviation. “The flexibility provided by their chosen mix of Ejets will allow Air Burkina to right size their operation to meet specific demands on their growing route network, and enhance their guests' experience.”
