New Georgian airline, MyWay Airlines, which is owned by China's Hualing Group, plans to begin scheduled routes in June 2018 from Tbilisi and Batumi to Tehran, Kiev, Minsk, Tel Aviv, and Dubai, and later Urumqi, Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Samara.
MyWay, backed by over US$50 million, currently operates two B737-800s and will purchase two additional aircraft by the end of 2018. The airline also plans to add its first B777 in 2021, allowing it to reach the US, Beijing, and India.
MyWay plans to focus on connecting and transit passengers between Europe and Asia, and turn Tbilisi into a regional transit.
