January 24, 2024 ‐ Management of Arena Aviation Capital today commented on reaching milestone 100th aircraft acquisition.

Arena Aviation Capital recently celebrated the acquisition of the 100th aircraft. This milestone was reached as the company is nearing its 10th anniversary in March 2024. The aircraft, a 2014 built A320‐200 operated by the Hungarian LCC Wizz Air was acquired on behalf of one of Arena´s US fund investors.

As a full‐service asset manager Arena originated the vast majority of said 100 aircraft transactions, but significantly also arranged debt financing for 75 of those. Since 2016, 66 aircraft redeliveries were managed by Arena and 46 aircraft were re‐marketed to new owners or airline operators.

Erik Dahmen, Arena Aviation Chief Commercial commented: “When we made our first acquisition in 2014, we were full of confidence and ideas, but I feel we performed beyond our own expectations. To be where we are today, with essentially the same core team and even bigger plans for the next 10 years makes us all very proud.”

Patrick den Elzen, Arena Chief Executive Officer added: “Over the last 10 years we have steadily built up our platform and track record with it, providing independent lease management services to a select number of investor clients from North America, Europe and the Far East. By sticking to what we know how to do best and adding real value during every point in the aviation cycle – and each individual aircraft ownership lifespan – we have consistently delivered what our clients hired us for and more. This milestone 100th aircraft is to be just the beginning as we strive to become one of the main aircraft asset managers globally over the next 5-10 years.”
