Mesa Airlines announced today its plans to open a new crew domicile in Louisville, Kentucky in early 2018. The additional crew domicile is in response to continued growth, as the Company has doubled in size in the last four years and continues to expand its fleet. Mesa currently has crew domiciles in Phoenix (PHX), Dallas (DFW), Houston (IAH), and Washington Dulles (IAD).

“We are delighted to add Louisville to our list of domiciles, which we believe are among the most attractive in the industry,” said Jonathan Ornstein, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Mesa Airlines. “We will continue to explore options for additional domiciles, and hope to announce new crew bases in 2018.”

Mesa recently reached new collective bargaining agreements with its pilot and flight attendant unions, building a solid foundation for the continued growth. Recently hired pilots have capitalized on the Company’s expansion, with upgrades to Captain occurring anywhere from six months to just under two years.

Last month, Mesa opened a new state-of-the-art training center in Phoenix, Arizona, providing an exceptional training experience for crews. The 23,000 square foot facility includes fourteen classrooms, with the capacity to train over 300 crew members at any given time. The new training center also boasts a full-size regional jet cabin featured in the lobby.
