Global aerospace and defence aftermarket specialist, Meggitt Customer Services & Support (CSS), has finalised a multiple year distribution agreement with Proponent, the world’s largest independent aerospace distributor. Under the agreement, Proponent will become the exclusive 3rd party global distributor to selected Meggitt customers for the supply of non-military aftermarket products.

“This is a perfect fit for both our companies,” explains Adrian Plevin, Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing for Meggitt CSS. “The agreement will allow us to focus on our individual areas of expertise, providing a more comprehensive service level for Meggitt customers worldwide, continuing to add value to all operations. Proponent and CSS have shared objectives, our strategy is based on the principle of simplifying the buying process, providing excellent Customer Service and ensuring global availability of stock.”

"We are delighted to be entering into this partnership with Meggitt CSS,” adds Proponent’s CEO Andrew Todhunter. “Meggitt is an established OEM, with a rapidly growing business; this is a great opportunity for us to grow together. We share a common vision of creating a new and innovative aerospace distribution experience for our global customers. Our customised market approach will help us build tailored stocking solutions for allocated Meggitt customers worldwide.”

Proponent was recently formed following the amalgamation of Kapco Global and Avio-Diepen and has an extensive catalogue of high-quality parts, global scale and a reputation for reliable, on-time performance. Adrian Plevin explains “CSS was created to provide our global customers with a single interface for Meggitt products, using three strategically located regional hubs in the US, Asia and Europe. Choosing Proponent as our extended distribution arm not only increases our product reach, but it is further evidence of our commitment to providing partnership solutions, working with our extensive customer base to ensure all specific needs are met.”
