• Sebastian Lüttmann is the new Head of Austrian Brand Experience
  • Robert Heusmann will serve as Head of Network Management & Revenue Steering
  • The merger of divisions should generate synergies

Austrian Airlines has already announced the merger of business units within the context of its current strategy program in order to more effectively leverage synergies in the company and also reduce the number of executive positions. Now the marketing and product divisions of the red-white-red flag carrier have been merged. Effective February 1, 2021, Sebastian Lüttmann will assume the position as head of the newly created department called Austrian Brand Experience.  Mr. Lüttmann, who is currently in charge of Passenger & Aircraft Handling of Austrian Airlines in Vienna, will thus be responsible for the entire marketing and product management activities of the Austrian national airline.

The two divisions of Revenue Steering and Network Planning will also be fused. Robert Heusmann, currently the Head of Network Planning, will serve as the head of the newly created business unit “Network Management & Revenue Steering” as of February 1, 2021. Accordingly, Mr. Heusmann will be responsible for network planning as well as the management of prices and revenue at Austrian Airlines.

“I am pleased that we succeeded in convincing Sebastian Lüttmann and Robert Heusmann, two experienced managers from our own ranks, to assume new positions in the company”, says Andreas Otto, Member of the Executive Board of Austrian Airlines. “They are taking the next career step in the midst of an extremely challenging time. Both are crisis-tested and will push ahead with the realignment and modernization of Austrian Airlines on the basis of their expertise.”
