Petaling Jaya, 22 May 2018 – Malindo Air, a vibrant and awards winning airline, is commencing its maiden flight from Langkawi to Guiyang, China today. This marks the third China city that Malindo Air flies to from Langkawi, after Chengdu and Kunming.

With the aim to fly in more inbound tourists to Langkawi, Malindo Air has now contributed a total of 12 weekly flights from China – 4 weekly flights from Chengdu and Kunming respectively and 3 weekly flights from Guiyang. The flights are operated in Boeing 737-800 with a total of 162 seat capacity – 12 Business Class seats and 150 Economy Class seats.

Chandran Rama Muthy, CEO of Malindo Air said, “We are committed to boost the tourism arrival into Malaysia to jointly develop our economy towards greater hype. Our recent focal point is on Langkawi, and we are happy to not only fly in tourist from KLIA, but also extend direct connection from overseas destinations to Langkawi.”

“Our current capacity from China is potential to contribute an average of additional 60% international arrival via airport to Langkawi monthly. We look forward to strengthen the connection for more frequencies, as well as to have more new direct destinations flying in to Langkawi,” he added.

Malindo Air flight OD630 is scheduled to depart from Langkawi at 7:00p.m. and the 4 hour flight is estimated to arrive in Longdongbao International Airport at 11:00p.m. (GMT+8). This flight is available every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The return flight from Guiyang to Langkawi is scheduled to start on the following day, for every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Flight OD631 will depart from Guiyang at 12:05a.m. and estimated to arrive at 4:05a.m.

Malindo Air flies to 11 cities in China from Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi & Kota Kinabalu, namely Guangzhou, Guiyang, Sanya, Changsa, Haikou, Chengdu, Tianjin, Zhengzhou, Kunming, Beijing and Nanning. The airline offers comfortable leg room, baggage allowance and in-flight meals for their flights.
