MAAS Aviation announces new global role for Richard Marston to support continued expansion plans
Dublin, 7th February 2022: MAAS Aviation, globally recognised experts in aircraft painting and exterior coatings, announce changes to their senior team as Richard Marston assumes the role of Chief Commercial Officer and Fran Carew retires after 35 years’ loyal service to the business.
Marston joined MAAS Aviation in January 2020 as Director of Customer Service, Sales and Marketing EMEA, having previously held high-level positions with Herberts, DuPont and AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings. Transitioning to the global role of CCO, he will be responsible for strategic business growth and further increasing the Company’s global footprint.
“The last two years have been challenging for everyone, but despite the obvious difficulties, 2021 was an outstanding year for MAAS Aviation and this success can be firmly attributed to the continued commitment and drive of our global teams” comments Tim Macdougald, MAAS Aviation’s CEO.
Macdougald continues: “As we say goodbye to Fran and his wealth of experience and knowledge, the business remains in excellent hands with Richard and his team taking over the reins. In his new position as Chief Commercial Officer, Richard will lead the way in establishing new strategic partnerships and initiatives, as well as further developing our existing business relationships.”
He adds “I would like to acknowledge Fran’s incredible contribution and service to MAAS over the last 35 years. He has been at the forefront of massive transformational change at the Company and has been a true inspiration to all who have worked with him. We wish Fran a long, happy and healthy retirement doing a different kind of painting – he is an avid watercolourist.”
Carew concludes by saying: “Having worked with MAAS Aviation for over 30 years, it has been an absolute pleasure to have participated in its tremendous growth while maintaining the company’s core values of customer satisfaction and value for money. I would like to wish all MAAS employees and customers the very best for the future.”
