Sören Stark (51) is moving to Lufthansa Technik from Lufthansa Cargo
Dr. Thomas Stüger (61) is retiring after 14 years on the Executive
Board

Today, the Supervisory Board of Lufthansa Technik AG appointed Sören
Stark (51) to the Executive Board, effective 1 January 2019. Stark
will be responsible for the areas Fleet Services, Base Maintenance,
Components, Logistics, IT and Quality Management.

Stark, who holds an advanced degree in industrial engineering, will
take over from Dr. Thomas Stüger (61) who is retiring at the end of
2018 after 14 years as a Member of the Executive Board.

Sören Stark has worked at various Lufthansa Group companies since
2001 and has been in charge of the Operations division at Lufthansa
Cargo as a Member of the Executive Board since 2016. Before that, he
held positions as Head of Aircraft Overhaul and Logistics Services at
Lufthansa Technik, among others. Sören Stark began his career with
Lufthansa at LSG Sky Chefs in 2001, heading flight service operations
in Frankfurt.

The Supervisory Board of Lufthansa Cargo will appoint a successor for
Sören Stark in the near future.

Dr. Thomas Stüger will be retiring at the end of this year after over
25 years with Lufthansa Technik. He helped shape the successful
course of the company, most notably in advancing its
internationalization. When he retires, he will have been a Member of
the Executive Board at Lufthansa Technik for more than 14 years,
after heading, among other things, the areas Information Systems,
Component Logistics and Aircraft Maintenance.
