Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico has won three new customers from the
Americas for base maintenance and modifications. The Lufthansa
Technik base maintenance facility specializing in Airbus A320 family
aircraft located in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, has respectively
increased its range of national airworthiness approvals to include
Brazil and Chile, in addition to the existing approvals by the U.S.
and Canadian authorities. Approval by a further four national
authorities in Latin America is currently under review.

In parallel, after rigorous auditing processes, the Puerto Rican
facility has also become an approved vendor for three new airline
customers. Two new customers are based in Latin America. In March, a
C2-check including a WiFi installation was carried out for Avianca
Brazil. In summer of this year, C1-checks and C2-checks will be
performed on two A319 aircraft of Sky Airline. Allegiant Air is a new
customer of Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico from North America.
Exterior and cabin interior work was performed in Aguadilla on an
A320 aircraft.

"Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico is delighted with the recent additions
to our customer base. Located strategically in Puerto Rico where we
aim to serve customers from both North and South America, we are
encouraged by the recent customer acquisitions. Our state-of-the-art
facility together with world class processes and a highly motivated,
professional team are what we are building our success on,"
said Pat Foley, CEO of Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico.

Inaugurated in 2015 and Part 145-approved by both the FAA and the
EASA, about 300 highly qualified employees are working in the
state-of-the-art facility. In 2017, the company achieved its final
and expanded configuration with five overhaul lines up and running.
