Lufthansa Technik has become an approved outfitter for ACJ350 XWB
aircraft. In the past months, Airbus Corporate Jets has undertaken
extensive evaluations of the individual completion centers in its
network regarding their capabilities to handle future modifications
and completions of the ACJ350 XWB. The evaluation was considering
topics such as overall quality, adherence to deadlines and technical
planning.

Wieland Timm, Senior Director VIP & Special Mission Aircraft at
Lufthansa Technik, said: "To become one of the few approved
outfitting centers for the ACJ350 XWB is a very important milestone
for our customer acquisition activities regarding completions and
modifications for this new aircraft type. Our comprehensive MRO
experience due to daily technical services on the commercial A350 XWB
fleets of Lufthansa and other customers since more than two years
gives us a unique expertise compared to others, also with regard to
the VIP business."

Lufthansa Technik has already developed and unveiled an ACJ350 XWB
VVIP interior concept called 'Welcome Home'. The unique cabin is
placing the human being in the center of the story and emphasizes a
comprehensive approach towards health and well-being on board. It
promotes flexible areas for privacy or valuable family time and
provides super connectivity in regard to all communication channels.

Lufthansa Technik is licensed to maintain the Airbus A350 XWB in all
aspects of the aircraft's life cycle. The company has been supporting
the A350 XWB's development with a special focus on
maintainability from the very beginning. In the area of material
supply, Lufthansa Technik covers a large part of the A350 XWB
components, in many cases working together with original equipment
manufacturers.

At the beginning of 2017, Lufthansa Technik received an extension of
its approval as a design organization for A350 XWB from the European
Aviation Safety Agency (EASA Part 21/J). The company is thus
authorized to develop and approve repairs and modifications to a
limited extent under its own responsibility.

Furthermore, a dedicated A350 XWB community was initiated by
Lufthansa Technik, with the main goal of enabling airlines worldwide
to exchange their experiences with their A350 XWB fleets and benefit
from these exchanges.
