In the first quarter of next year, the construction of the most modern wide-body aircraft technical base in this part of Europe will begin in Jasionka. The investor, LOT Aircraft Maintenance Services, belonging to the Polish Aviation Group, will select the general contractor of the new hangar, pre-hangar board and technical facilities in the next few months. The first planes are to be delivered to the service in mid-2023, but the Polish leader in aircraft maintenance is already taking care of future staff, developing cooperation with technical schools in Podkarpacie.

The main goal of the LOTAMS investment in Jasionka is to expand LOTAMS 'ability to provide base maintenance services, in particular for wide-body models such as the Boeing 787. The first stage of the investment includes the construction of a service hangar (with a usable area of almost 13,000 m²), a pre-hangar board and a building which is a workshop, technical and office back-up facility. The scope of the investment also includes the hangar equipment with the necessary tools and equipment as well as land development around the newly constructed buildings, including construction of a car park.

LOTAMS hangars will be built with the use of solutions ensuring energy efficiency both in the case of electricity and heating energy. LED technology will be used for lighting and natural gas for heating. All applied systems will be supported by optimization automatics. Additionally, in order to eliminate the impact of emergency situations on the environment, separators and closed tanks will be used when performing maintenance processes. Properly carried out maintenance of the aircraft will reduce fuel consumption, the level of generated noise and leakage of operating fluids, which will significantly contribute to environmental protection.
