KLM Cityhopper adds one more Embraer to fleet
On Saturday, KLM Cityhopper (KLC) took delivery of its 49th Embraer, which will be the last of its type to arrive for the time being. The new E175+ bearing registration PH-EXZ touched down at Schiphol on Saturday, 28 April. The aircraft forms part of KLM’s vigorous fleet renewal programme.
KLC now operates 49 Embraers, making its Embraer fleet Europe’s biggest. The fleet is only deployed for short-haul flights within Europe. The Embraers contribute towards making KLM’s fleet more sustainable. The aircraft use less fuel, therefore reducing CO2 emissions. The E175+ aircraft type uses 22% less fuel in comparison with its predecessor, the Fokker 70.
