Grünwald, 19.02.2019 – The recently published “Perspective: Aviation Markets” explores the topics of sustainability in the aviation industry, technical acceptance of a new aircraft, and the fascination of flying. Investment and asset manager KGAL reports on current developments as well as supplying background information.

The aviation industry is committed to sustainability: it has set itself the target of achieving climate-neutral growth from 2020 onwards. Jochen Hörger, Managing Director of KGAL Investment Management GmbH & Co. KG cites new designs and lighter materials such as carbon fibre. KGAL is making its contribution by supporting futureproof aircraft designs.

An aircraft isn’t worth much without documentation, says Christoph Peppel, Head of Technical at GOAL German Operating Aircraft Leasing GmbH & Co. KG. Along with his four colleagues, he inspects the technical condition of an aircraft on transfer and return, and then makes a decision regarding yield.

Michael Kühnel is a trained A320 pilot. Prior to his stint at Lufthansa (2015 to 2018), he worked as the aviation transaction manager at KGAL Investment Management. Since the turn of the year, he has been realising his dream of flying, and he tells us all about it.
