KfW IPEX-Bank finances two Boeing 787 aircraft for Air New Zealand
A consortium comprising Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and KfW IPEX-Bank is financing two 787-9 aircraft for Air New Zealand. Each of both is financing half of the total sum, which will be provided in Japanese yen.
Both Boeing 787s will be equipped with Rolls-Royce engines. As a national airline, 52% of Air New Zealand is owned by the New Zealand government. The Air New Zealand Group has a fleet of 106 airplanes and is one of the founding members of Star Alliance.
