Karin Exner-Wöhrer joins the Supervisory Board of Austrian Airlines
· Ulrike Donath, Monika Kircher and Ulrik Svensson leave the board
· The Supervisory Board is downsized from nine to six members
Karin Exner-Wöhrer (47) was elected to the Supervisory Board of Austrian Airlines AG today. The Austrian manager has been CEO of Salzburger Aluminium AG (SAG) since 2015. At the same time, Ulrike Donath, Monika Kircher and Ulrik Svensson as well as Didem Strebinger, delegated by the works council, will leave the Supervisory Board effective today, June 17, 2019.

Ms. Donath has supported Austrian Airlines as a Supervisory Board member since 2009, and Ms. Kircher since 2013. After the restructuring, they helped to lead Austrian Airlines back onto the path of success and also steadily kept the interests of the airport hub in mind. They deserve our thanks and recognition for this. At the same time, I am pleased to welcome Ms. Exner-Wöhrer, a recognized and internationally experienced manager, to the Supervisory Board”, says Supervisory Board Chairman Harry Hohmeister.
In addition to Exner-Wöhrer, Harry Hohmeister (Chairman), Michael Niggemann and Veit Schmid-Schmidsfelden are the other shareholder representatives on the Supervisory Board. The two works council committees appointed Alfred Junghans and Rainer Stratberger as employee representatives to the Supervisory Board.
Karin Exner-Wöhrer was born in Zurich on September 8, 1971. She went to school in Sierra Leone, Innsbruck and Salzburg. The trained economist (Vienna University of Economics and Business, Fontainbleau and Singapore) has served as Chief Executive Officer of Salzburger Aluminium AG since 2015. Her Supervisory Board mandates include Telekom Austria AG. Exner-Wöhrer is married and has three children.
