Amman,Jordan - Joramco, the Amman based MRO and the engineering arm of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), has announced that it has entered into the first maintenance agreement with the operator, Avion Express, one of the largest narrow-body ACMI operators.
The agreement, which took place in August 2019, included heavy maintenance on six of the carrier’s A320 aircraft. Checks began October 2019 and have continued into the New Year; the final aircraft is currently undergoing maintenance and is projected to be delivered early March.
Jeff Wilkinson, Joramco‘s Chief Executive Officer commented, “The agreement with Avion Express marks a strategic move forward as Joramco expands further into the Eastern European Market. The continuous expansion of Joramco’s capabilities, skillset and service offerings is part of DAE’s progressive vision and a necessary part of maintaining our dynamic position as a world-class MRO.

Over the last few years, Avion Express has been providing services to many well-established airlines, including: SunExpress, OnurAir, Norwegian Air, Condor and Sky Angkor Airlines. For the 2019-2020 winter season, Avion Express has signed wet-lease agreements with the European carrier LOT Polish Airlines and VietJet Air, an international low-cost airline operating in Asia
