Paris, Amstelveen, 10 October 2018 - Johann Panier has been appointed to helm Business Development at AFI KLM E&M. Since 2014 he has been CEO of Barfield Inc., an AFI KLM E&M Group subsidiary headquartered in Miami and a major player in the MRO market in the Americas.
An alumnus of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers, and holder of an MBA from Paris business school HEC, Johann Panier held a variety of senior positions at Air France Industries from 2004 to 2014, in particular as head of Business Development. In July 2014, he took over running Barfield before his 2015 appointment as CEO of Aero Maintenance Group, another major Group subsidiary in the US. He went on to merge the two entities, in order to build a stronger MRO component provider that delivers quality and innovative services to customers. As AFI KLM E&M Senior Vice President in charge of Business Development, Johann Panier will continue to develop the Group's worldwide network in line with the needs and specific characteristics of each local MRO market. He said: "I am honored to be appointed SVP Business Development at AFI KLM E&M, a strategic position for an MRO operating a global network, with affiliates on six continents. This powerful network is a key strength for AFI KLM E&M enabling it to offer top adaptive service that combines quality and responsiveness to its clients as close as possible to where they operate."
