JMC Group and Complete Aircraft Group starts B737-400F teardown at Exeter Airport

JMC Group’s Fixed Price Team and Complete Aircraft Group (CAG) are close to completing a teardown on a Boeing 737-400F.  Dismantlement is taking place at Exeter Airport, UK and will be complete by the end of this month, resulting in the availability of 250 parts, including full cargo configuration and associated equipment.

This marks the second joint venture project between JMC Group’s and CAG’s specialist teams.

Teardowns involve a staged process which guarantees the safe removal of aircraft parts in accordance with standard procedures. Once the components are harvested, the remaining aircraft hull is dismantled and shipped offsite for recycling.

Complete Aircraft Group, specialists in sourcing and delivering quality recycled aircraft parts and components to the aviation industry, is actively engaged sourcing retired commercial aircraft (airliner and business jets) for teardowns.  The business was bolstered last summer with the appointment of senior industry professional Alan Barnes as Head of Operations.

JMC has managed the teardowns of aircraft from eight to 35 years.  Its Teardown Team continually review the market and maintain regular dialogue with lessors and airlines.

Alan Barnes, Head of Operations at Complete Aircraft Group commented: “We are seeing a number of elderly B737s retiring from service, creating excellent opportunities for part inventory.   CAG and JMC teams work diligently and meticulously together to manage an aircraft’s teardown and parts harvest safely and competently from start to finish, in a true turnkey solution.”
