Jin Air is a step closer to the possibility of losing its operating license, as the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport (MLIT) is considering stripping the carrier of its license following the end of a grace period over an alleged violation of transport law. The airline is accused of allowing a foreign national to sit on its board.

The MLIT is now reviewing measures to handle a possible fallout, with one solution being an acquisition of Jin Air by another airline.

Jin Air says no official notification was received by the MLIT at this time.
