JetSMART (Chile) took delivery of its first aircraft, an A320-200, serial 7595, which was initially due to be operated by Vueling. Aircraft in 186Y seat configuration and powered by V2500 engines.

Carrier plans to start domestic operations by July 2017, pending issuance of its AOC. Initial fleet is three A320s.

JetSMART, owned by Indigo Partners (US), also plans to add another six A320s in 2018. Once established in Santiago, the ULCC will eye regional expansion, as it is backed with US$100 million in capital for the first five years.
