Kuwait, 18 April 2018: As the Holy month of Ramadan approaches, Jazeera Airways, Kuwait’s leading low cost airline, operating regionally and internationally, is proud to announce the launch of its new direct flights to Medina.

Jazeera Airways’ foray into the second largest Islamic pilgrimage destination comes as part of the airlines mission to serve the increasing demands of all segments of society.

Starting on April 16, Jazeera Airways will provide a frequency of three weekly flights with departure at 6.15 am and arrival in Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Airport at 8:00 am and departure from Medina at 8:45 am with arrival at 10:30 am. In lieu of the season, Jazeera Airways will recommence flights to Taif during the month of Ramadan starting May 16 until June 6, 2018.

One of the most visited cities and sacred in the Islamic religion, Medina holds religious buildings, monuments and museums dedicated to covering and conserving Islamic history. It is home to spectacular mosques and key pilgrimage sites namely Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, or the Prophet’s Mosque, Quba Mosque and the Seven Mosques which comprises a complex of mosques. From an economic perspective, it is worth mentioning that Medina is poised to be the first smart city development in Saudi Arabia, which will house medical, hospitality, tourism, intellectual property, knowledge-based industries, and hotels.

Flying to 23 destinations across the Middle East, Europe & India, Jazeera Airways operates a reliable fleet of 9 Airbus A320 aircraft. Passengers can enjoy a baggage allowance of 30kg for Economy class and 50kg per Business class passenger.
