Kuwait, November 4, 2019: Jazeera Airways, Kuwait's leading low-cost airline, operating regionally and internationally, today announced its has started serving the city of Osh in Kyrgyzstan with two return flights weekly starting from November 3, 2019.
The new route is the first direct route between the Middle East and Osh, giving access to connecting flights between the second largest city in Kyrgyzstan and its majority Muslim population and other cities in the region, notably Jeddah and Medina.
Jazeera Airways CEO, Rohit Ramachandran, said: “We are pleased to launch direct flights between the Middle East and Osh. The oldest city in Kyrgyzstan, Osh offers over 3,000 years of history to explore and will be another new option for leisure travellers. We look forward to serving customers from Kyrgyzstan, especially those going on religious pilgrimage.”
Osh is also popular for its unique scenery ideal for trekking, cultural and historical landmarks, as well as rich culinary experiences.
The Kuwait-Osh route is operated by return flights on Sundays and Tuesdays. The departing flight number J9 653 from Kuwait to Osh is scheduled at 8:05 pm local time and arrives the next morning at 2:50 am local time of these days, while the return flight number J9 654 from Osh to Kuwait is scheduled at 4:00 am local time of the next day and arrives at 5:25 am local time.
