JAT Tehnika Has Begun Conversion On Boeing 767 In Collaboration With Israeli Aerospace Industries
Avia Prime Group, one of the leading European MROs in cooperation with the Israeli Aerospace Industries has started the works on the conversion of Boeing 767-200/300 aircraft from the passenger to cargo program. The conversions will take place in the Belgrade-based Avia Prime subsidiary, JAT Tehnika, under US FAA certificate.
JAT Tehnika, member of Avia Prime Group – will join the elitary group of companies in Europe to perform heavy modifications on the Boeing 767 aircraft. The entire process of the wide-body aircraft conversion has been performed in accordance with the IAI supplemental type certificate at JAT Tehnika base in Belgrade - specifically, on two production lines within the company's hangar number 2, on over 9,000 square meters. So far, 5 million euros have been invested in capacity expansion, staff training and the purchase of new machinery. The company have been employing employ additionally over 100 aviation experienced sheet metal workers who will join and strengthen the current team. This means that the new employees in line with the current team will have the opportunity to work together and share their experience on this unique project.
