Japan Airlines (JAL), a member of the oneworld® alliance, has agreed with Cathay Dragon (KA), an affiliate of oneworld alliance member Cathay Pacific Airways (CX), to enter into a new codeshare cooperation. The new codeshare agreement includes three routes between Japan and Hong Kong, and five routes between Hong Kong and Asia on flights operated by Cathay Dragon.
From May 29, JAL will place its code on the following routes, subject to regulatory approvals. (Flights are operated by Cathay Dragon)
Routes between Hong Kong and Haneda (HND), Fukuoka (FUK), Okinawa (OKA)
Routes between Hong Kong and Bengaluru (BLR), Kolkata (CCU), Dhaka (DAC), Penang (PEN), Chiang Mai (CNX)
With the new agreement, Fukuoka and Okinawa will be added to JAL’s codeshare network between Japan and Hong Kong, and customers will gain access to Hong Kong from seven airports in Japan. Booking for these new codeshare flights are planned to be made available from May 22.
