Italy released the names of the executives under investigation for fraudulent bankruptcy due to the collapse of Alitalia. The executives are Silvano Cassano, Luca Cordero di Montezemolo and Cramer Ball, who served at the tope one of the two airlines between January 2015 until May 2017.

Etihad acquired a 49% stake in Alitalia in 2014.

The bankruptcy investigation has led to recent raids on Alitalia's offices, as the government seeks documents and records on the matter.

James Hogan, CEO of Etihad at the time, is not under investigation, despite his prominent role in crafting the joint agreement.
