Buenos Aires, Argentina (November 20, 2017) - During this week's Airline Leaders Forum in Buenos Aires, Inmarsat, the mobile satellite communications company, is the latest organization to join ALTA (the Latin America and Caribbean Air Transport Association) as an Affiliate Member.

Raymundo Villar, Inmarsat Aviation's Regional Director for Latin America, said, "We are excited to join ALTA and be part of a community focused on the next-generation of aviation across Latin America. We have been fortunate to work with many of ALTA's member airlines for almost 20 years now, and we look forward to exploring new business opportunities in the region with the association."

Luis Felipe de Oliveira, ALTA's Executive Director, added, "ALTA is very excited to welcome Inmarsat as a new member to join our roster of affiliates. Inmarsat is the first ALTA member to own a global satellite network. It focuses on both inflight passenger connectivity, providing a key element in onboard satisfaction today, and secure cockpit communications, transforming aviation safety and optimizing flight operations to save airlines both time and money. I am confident Inmarsat will add great value to our member airlines and develop new partnerships in the region."
