In July 2017 Avianca Holdings And Its Subsidiaries Carried More Than 2.7 Million Passengers
In July, the subsidiary companies of Avianca Holdings S.A. (NYSE: AVH) (BVC: PFAVH) (*) transported 2,746,456 passengers, an increase of 5.2% compared to July 2016. Capacity, measured in ASKs (available seat kilometers), increased 7.0%, while passenger traffic, measured in RPKs (revenue passenger kilometers), increased 8.2%. The load factor for the month was 86.1%, an increase of 100 bps compared to the same period of 2016.
Domestic markets in Colombia, Peru and Ecuador
In July, the subsidiary airlines of Avianca Holdings transported within each of these markets a total of 1,582,499 travelers, up 3.3% compared to July 2016. Capacity (ASKs) decreased 3.2% while passenger traffic (RPKs) increased 1.8%. The load factor for the month was 86.8%, an increase of 425 bps compared to the same period of 2016.
International markets
In July, the affiliated airlines of Avianca Holdings transported 1.163.957 passengers on international routes, up 7.9% compared to July 2016. Capacity (ASKs) increased 9.6%, while passenger traffic (RPKs) increased 9.8%. The load factor for the month was 85.9%, an increase of 20 bps when compared to the same period of 2016.
