IBA expands asset management team and builds depth of expertise
London/Dublin/Tokyo – June 12th 2019: IBA Group, the specialist aviation consultancy, is increasing the depth of resources that its asset management team can offer worldwide. IBA’s core services include aviation data, appraisals, and advisory, but the Firm is now experiencing high demand for the independent outsourced asset management skills that it can offer. Peter Walter, Director of Asset Management at IBA is pleased to welcome Julian Aldana who will cover North America and Guljar Lehri who will be based at the London office into his team.
“Lessors and airlines are seeking to outsource the complex issues that surround remarketing and transitioning aircraft” says Walter. “We have recently placed a Boeing 737-800NG on long term lease with Jet2.com on behalf of a client. The aircraft was under IBA’s asset management programme during the prior lease to Norwegian. IBA was responsible for the redelivery, lease placement and negotiations as well overseeing the required modifications and technical acceptance.”
“Our team provides lease management, technical inspections, remarketing services and repossession support and we will continue to broaden the range of expertise that clients can access. Bringing Julian and Gulhar on board adds further hands-on experience at the sharp end, this is invaluable when we are solving complicated financial transactions or dealing with particular global jurisdictions.”
Julian Aldana has recently joined IBA as a Technical Manager based in North America. He is an experienced aviation professional with qualifications in aircraft engineering and aircraft management.
