IAT Leasing has officially commenced operations.

Co-founded by seasoned industry experts Martin Browne, Magnus Stephensen and his two partners at Icelease ehf, Kari Karason and Sigthor Einarsson, IAT aims to leverage its principals's track record in sourcing and structuring high quality aircraft leasing transactions.

IAT was launced in response to the ongoing supply-demand imbalance in the commercial aviation sector, with the management team aiming to create new return opportunities.

The company is poised to capitalize on the increasing demand for existing technology aircraft, driven by the pandemic's negative impact on supply and the rapid recovery in air travel demand.

The new leadership team comprises veterans from notable firms within the aviation and financial sectors, bringing a wealth of experience and a track record of significant transactions. This includes successful ventures and roles in companies such as Icelease, Icelandair Group, Aergo Capital, Avolon and Credit Suisse.

IAT's strategy centers around a data-driven approach, with an emphasis on agility and a comprehensive understanding of market trends.

The company has already begun operations and is actively engaging in significant deals in the aircraft leasing space.
