Hong Kong Airlines Orders Airbus A330
Hong Kong Airlines has confirmed orders for 9 more Airbus A330 airframes. The airline has opted for the Airbus A330–300 of which it already has another 9 in its fleet.

Zhang Kui, President of Hong Kong Airlines, said the following about the order:
"Today’s announcement underscores our plan to operate an extensive regional network in Asia. The A330’s flexibility also allows us to further deploy these aircraft to some long haul routes in the future, and we are going to operate the all-new A350 XWB in 2017 which will open a new chapter of our international operations."
With the order the Hong Kong based airline remains committed to Airbus and in particular the Airbus A330. The airline operates 11 Airbus A320 aircraft, 23 Airbus A330 aircraft and has unfilled orders for the Airbus A350–900.
The airline is expected to have a fleet of 50 Airbus aircraft by 2018. Hong Kong Airlines is one out of 4 airlines that operates all variants of the Airbus A330ceo.
The airline currently operates 9 Airbus A330–200s, 9 Airbus A330–300s and 5 A330–200Fs.
