Honeywell (NYSE: HON) is renewing its wheels and brakes contract for Eastar Jet’s Boeing B737NG fleet of 27 aircraft for the next five years. The extended agreement will provide high-performance Honeywell wheels and braking systems, including exchange, repair and overhaul services for the South Korea-based low-cost airline. Eastar Jet will benefit from Honeywell’s customer core team onsite, as well as faster repair turnaround time to ensure optimal aircraft performance.

As competition in South Korea’s low-cost airline industry increases, it’s increasingly important for airlines to ensure that their operations are not disrupted with unreliable and faulty parts. Honeywell’s wheels and braking system for landing, taxi and takeoff provide the balance of high performance and lower total cost of ownership, combined with a track record of reliability and versatility across the aerospace industry. This agreement helps Eastar Jet reduce flight delays and cancellations, providing passengers with the travel experience they’ve come to expect.
