Hong Kong, 1 August 2017 Hong Kong’s low-fare airline HK Express is excited to announce a new connection between Nagoya and Guam, commencing 29 October 2017. HK Express will be the only low-cost carrier (LCC) to operate direct services between Nagoya’s Chubu Centrair International Airport and Guam International Airport.

Thanks to the airline’s affordable fares and convenient flight schedule, Japanese travellers can easily enjoy a long weekend in Guam, or extend their stay and soak up the island’s stunning scenery.

Why is everyone flocking to Guam? Located in the Western Pacific Ocean, this U.S. territory is part of the expansive Micronesia archipelago where visitors can enjoy pristine beaches, hiking, snorkelling, scuba diving, and cultural exchanges with indigenous Chamorro villagers. A country of rich and diverse natural wonders, Guam is fast-becoming a hub of eco-tourism. On organised adventure expeditions, travellers will discover untouched jungles, as well as ancient ruins and fortresses.

There’s also an amazing shopping scene, offering duty-free shopping to international travellers and never-ending promotions on luxury products. Art is another lure for culture enthusiasts, thanks to Guam’s bustling markets that celebrate the island’s traditional handcrafts, indigenous art and folk customs. And then there’s the food: the tropical island has no shortage of unforgettable seafood feasts and alfresco dinners — not to mention some of the best sunsets on earth.

Guam has long been a popular destination among Japanese travellers. Japan is already the island’s largest travel market with over 320,000 arrivals in the first six months of 2017. Currently, Nagoya is the third-largest market within Japan, with more than 43,000 arrivals. With even more competitive prices on this route, HK Express expects there will be strong demand for their highly competitive fare.

To celebrate the new Nagoya-Guam service, HK Express is offering a special pre-launch promotion. Travellers can snap up JPY3,980* fares to Guam from today to 31 August 2017 (23:59), with travel valid from 29 October 2017 to 24 March 2018. This gives HK Express guests plenty of time to plan a romantic holiday or family adventure in Guam.

“The new route between Nagoya and Guam will make it easier than ever for HK Express guests in Japan to visit the enchanting island,” said Andrew Cowen, Director and CEO of HK Express. “We strive to provide affordable and convenient options for travellers, so more people can enjoy the fresh air, beaches and rich culture that Guam has to offer.”
