· Robert Heusmann will be responsible for more than 100 routes operated by the flag carrier

Robert Heusmann (44) will assume the position of Head of Network Management at Austrian Airlines effective July 1, 2019. Accordingly, the Austrian resident by choice is currently in charge of fleet planning for the Lufthansa hub airlines, will be responsible for the entire continental route network of Austria’s national flag carrier. The current network manager Alexandra Goldschmidt (42) will relocate to Munich where she will devote her efforts to building up and heading the “Crew Planning and Steering” Department.

Robert Heusmann (44) started his professional career for Lufthansa in 2001 following his university studies in economics, focusing on air fares policy. In 2005 he switched to network steering where he was responsible for pricing and yield management. He was appointed to his first management position in 2007 when he became Team Leader Yield Management at the Lufthansa hub in Munich. After working in Dubai in the field of human resources, Robert Heusmann was named Head of Revenue Management in 2012 for Austrian Airlines, where he has held various management positions since then. In 2016, the Austrian resident by choice and passionate ball guest was named Head of Fleet Planning for the hub airlines Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS. In this capacity he was responsible for the short- and medium-term fleet planning at the Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna and Zurich flight hubs. Mr. Heusmann is married.
Alexandra Goldschmidt (42) began her career at Lufthansa Cargo in sales in 1998 and later on in pricing. In 2005 she accepted a position in the field of revenue management for Lufthansa Passage, first in Frankfurt and subsequently at the Munich hub. Starting in 2012, she was responsible for marketing at Lufthansa Passage in Italy, working out of Milan. In 2014, Alexandra Goldschmidt took charge of planning, developing and managing the continental network of Austrian Airlines in Vienna. In 2016, she was promoted to the position of Head of Network Management at Austrian Airlines. Ms. Goldschmidt is married and has one son.
