On February 21, the President of the Republic, Beji Caid Essebsi, received the Guinean Foreign Minister, Mamadi Toure, accompanied by the Minister of Justice, Cheick Sako, visiting Tunisia, to lead the delegation of his country to the Tunisian-Guinean Joint Commission, according to a statement from the Presidency.

The Head of State welcomed the positive results of the Joint Commission held after fifteen years of rupture, including the signature of 21 conventions affecting different sectors of cooperation, and affirming the constant political will to further strengthen the opening of Tunisia to all African countries.

Mamadi Toure welcomed the positive assessment of the joint commission, expressing the approval of the Guinean authorities to grant Tunisair, the "5th freedom", which is likely to contribute to developing trade between two countries, and to consolidate joint cooperation.
