Aerovías de México, S.A. de C.V., subsidiary of Grupo Aeroméxico, S.A.B. de C.V. (Aeroméxico) closed a USD200 million 3-year revolving syndicated credit facility, marking its successful return to the Mexican banking market. BBVA Mexico participated as Sole Global Coordinator, Sole Bookrunner and Agent Bank in the loan’s structuring and syndication with the participation of domestic and international banks.
With this agreement, Aeromexico obtains liquidity for its ordinary operations, and thus be able to use the resources and profits generated in previous years for new investments and to pursue its business plan.
Grupo Aeroméxico, S.A.B. de C.V., is a holding company with subsidiaries engaged in commercial and cargo aviation in Mexico, as well as aircraft training, support and maintenance, and the management of its passenger loyalty program: Aeroméxico, Aeroméxico Connect, Aeroméxico Cargo, Aeroméxico Formación, Aeroméxico Servicios and Aeroméxico Rewards.
The company, considered Mexico's flag carrier, has its main hub at Mexico City's International Airport. Its network of destinations covers Mexico, the United States, Canada, Central America, South America, Asia and Europe.
