01 September 2021: Goshawk, the Dublin-based leading global aircraft lessor, is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement to issue $202.5m of new unsecured US Private Placement (USPP) notes.

Today’s announcement represents Goshawk’s 4th unsecured USPP issuance following previous issuances in 2016, 2017 and 2018 and is highly significant as it makes the Company the first aircraft lessor to access the unsecured USPP market since the COVID pandemic struck. The Issue comprises tranches of 5-, 7- and 10-year notes and the transaction successfully priced on 12th August 2021, achieving Goshawk’s lowest blended coupon in the unsecured USPP market.

Colin Golden, CFO at Goshawk said “Feedback from investors was extremely positive, and the up to 10-year maturity of the notes reflects long-term investor confidence in Goshawk. We were delighted to see such levels of interest and the overwhelming demand for the transaction allowed us to upsize the transaction from our initial target. This is a reflection of the entire Company’s hard work over the past 18 months, it demonstrates confidence in both our investment strategy and our management of the COVID crisis, and it is another positive step for the Company”.

The Lead Agent on the transaction was Citi, with Suntrust and Natixis acting as Co-Agents. Milbank acted as legal counsel to Goshawk.
