GOL joins ALTA

Panama, September 24, 2019 – The Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) is pleased to welcome GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes as a new member of its growing group of airlines.

GOL is the largest airline in Brazil with more than 33 million passengers carried per year and a leader in the corporate and leisure segment. Currently, it operates more than 750 daily flights to 76 destinations is Brazil, South America, the Caribbean and the United States with a fleet of 127 Boeing 737 aircraft.

The company maintains strategic alliances with Delta Airlines, Air France and KLM, also makes available to passengers 13 codeshare and 80 interline agreements, generating more convenience and ease of connections for any destination served by these alliances. The company also maintains alliances with regional companies such as TwoFlex and Passaredo to expand the flights offer in the country.

Since its creation, in 2001, GOL democratized access to air transport in the country and has maintained a solid and permanent growth rate. In addition to be a leader in Brazil, the company maintains the largest offer of flights connecting Brazil and Argentina and has strengthened its international performance in recent years. As an expansion in this market, GOL launched direct flights from Fortaleza and Brasilia to Miami and Orlando in the United States at the end of last year and a new destination: Quito, Ecuador with non-stop departures from São Paulo. Recently, the only direct route from Brazil to Cancun was launched with departures from the Brasilia international airport and it was also launched the route from Recife to Santiago in Chile, being the only airline to directly connect the Northeast region with the Chilean capital. In this second semester, starting from December 12, will take off flights to Lima, Peru with daily departures from São Paulo.
