Go2Sky Assists LOT Affected By B737 MAX 8 Ban
Bratislava, 13th March – GO2SKY, Slovak-based ACMI airline operating Boeing 737-800 NG fleet will immediately provide three of its aircraft to LOT Polish Airlines which was affected by yesterday’s EASA ban on all Boeing 737 MAX operations Europewide. Three Boeing 737-800 NG are already on their way to Poland to prevent LOT flight schedule disruptions.
Go2Sky will provide LOT with 3 aircraft of 189Y capacity and 6 crews on a wet lease basis for the forthcoming days to help overcome the sudden lack of capacity related to the EASA Boeing 737 MAX ban.
Daniel Ferjanček, Go2Sky CEO, stated: “The sudden loss of almost 200 aircraft caused by the B737 MAX ban in Europe has triggered a serious lack of capacity in an ever-growing market with demands on available aircraft increasing every year. Flexibility is our philosophy and so we are doing our best to assist our Polish partners at LOT while promptly mobilising 3 Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft together with 6 crews to help cover the loss of capacity caused by LOT's grounded B737 MAX 8 units. Our aircraft are on their way to Poland and shall be used immediately on LOT's network.”
