In line with the company's desire for independence, Billund-based international Global Reach Aviation today announces that they are flying on their own AOC (DK.AOC.089).

"We are incredibly proud that we have come this far with our company," says Jacob Rasmussen, CEO, owner, and captain of the airline. "It's quite an achievement and we are so proud that we now have our own AOC." We are now masters of our own house. This gives us freedom and many opportunities. At the same time, it is a responsibility we have been ready to take on for a long time.”

Co-owner and captain, Camilla Engelbredt adds: "It has always meant a lot to us to be independent of others and do things our way. The way that we feel is best for our guests and employees. It's a big step to get your own AOC approved, there's an extensive preparation and documentation process behind it, but here we are today."

The two owners agree that they could not have done it without a dedicated staff and a constructive process with the Danish Transport Authority. We have complemented each other well and we are tremendously grateful for a good cooperation with the Danish Transport Authority during the approval process.

Well known preferred player in the market: The Hammer

Our intention with the company has always been to become a globally encompassing company with lots of good energy and power. This can even be read in our logo, which is a hammer with a circle around it. The hammer comes from Norse mythology and represents Thor, who always returns home to his owner. It is our mission to create a company where our customers return. The hammer also radiates strength, and it is this strength that we want to signal to our customers and employees. A very important parameter for us is a good work environment and that our customers receive and experience the best service before, during and after the flight.

"We do not give up. It is a cornerstone of our company. We have made it through ups and downs, gone come out of the lockdown stronger," says Jacob Rasmussen. "2022 is our best financial year since founding the company, and it is thanks to our skilled and motivated employees that we have managed to recover so well."

The hammer, HMR, which is our ICAO callsign, is therefore fully in line with our values

The hammer in the logo is surrounded by a circle, which for us stands for two things. The circle is infinite. We stand for the fact that we keep going, but also that there are endless possibilities. At the same time, a circle embraces and symbolizes the sense of community we want to create for employees and customers.

"The One Crew Concept - we've been using it for a number of years now, and it's a concept that works for us. We lean on each other, play off each other's strengths and support each other when challenges arise. It's a huge strength," says Camilla.

Truly a global company on the move

The circle makes us think of a globe and the global reach we have Global Reach Aviation has established itself in the global market within our niche. We go the extra mile with what we can offer our customers in terms of special catering, custom logos in the cabin and on the aircraft. We aim at going above and beyond in everything we do, and this permeates everything in our business. Trips to small remote airports, different departure times, etc.

The wing is our secondary logo. The wing is freedom and our ability to carry ourselves. As a company, we also strive to do things the way we think is best for us, our employees, and our customers. We are always curious about new ways and solutions for the benefit of our customers. We have our own principles and ways of doing things. Having the courage to follow our own paths and intuition has always brought us a long way.

We have come full circle with our own AOC for Global Reach Aviation. Now it is just on the wings as Denmark's new and only Unique Boutique Airline.
