GetJet Airlines signed a two-year agreement with a flag carrier of the Republic of Serbia. An IOSA-registered Lithuanian ACMI and charter airline wet-leased two Airbus A320 units for the winter season with an agreed fleet extension with two more units during the summer season. GetJet Airlines’ aircraft deployed at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport will expand Air Serbia’s connectivity with various European destinations – Larnaca, Heraklion, Rodhes, Catania, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Antalya, Hurghada and others.
This partnership is strategically significant for both carriers as it supports the development and growth goals of the companies and expands the geography of winter flights.
„We proudly announce our new long-term partnership with the flag carrier of Serbia that allows us to use our experience and expertise carrying passengers across the European network. We believe that additional capacity and our full support will contribute to the development goals of Air Serbia and will bring the most popular European destinations closer to passengers from Serbia. These past years proved the importance of ACMI operations in supporting the airlines during the surge of travellers and we are glad that we earned the trust of major air carriers across Europe and beyond“, says Rūta Kulvinskaitė, CEO of GetJet Airlines.
The extension of Air Serbia‘s capacity will support the flag carrier‘s goals to further expand and densify its network, as well as to increase its number of passengers. During the winter season of 2023 Air Serbia will have two GetJets Airbus A320s in its fleet, during the summer season of 2024 there will be four Airbus A320s and two aircraft of the same type in winter 2024.
“We are very happy to establish a long-term cooperation with a reliable ACMI provider such as GetJet Airlines. One very interesting specific of this cooperation is the fact that on flights operated by GetJet Airlines aircraft business class service will be provided, which is currently not available with our other ACMI partners. With the continuous expansion of our fleet, both with aircraft in our livery and aircraft of ACMI partners, we are getting closer to the number of four million carried passengers in 2023, which will be a significant and important achievement for the Serbian national airline," stated Boško Rupić, General Manager Commercial and Strategy.
Partnership with Air Serbia enhances GetJet Airlines’ presence in Europe and testifies the commitment to fulfill the needs of customers by offering flexibility and high-quality services. Air Serbia operates scheduled, seasonal, and charter flights to over 80 destinations in Europe, the Mediterranean, North America, Asia, and Africa.
