Cologne/Bonn, 14 August 2023. German Airways is strengthening its management as of 1 November 2023: Airline Manager Oliver Lackmann is joining the management team of Germany's second oldest airline and will drive the company's further development. With its Embraer E190s, German Airways is primarily active in the wet lease business for well-known airlines in Europe as well as in the charter business.
Oliver Lackmann is one of Germany's most distinguished aviation managers and has worked for TUI fly and TUI Airline since 2018 - most recently as Chief Flight Operations Officer TUI Airline. In the TUI Group, he was primarily responsible for introducing a uniform management structure for the five Group airlines. Previously, Oliver Lackmann worked for Air Berlin and its subsidiary NIKI Luftfahrt since 2011 and until 2018, most recently as Managing Director of NIKI Luftfahrt. A previous station was also Augsburg Airways.
The 54-year-old studied economics at the University of Essen and is a trained pilot. At Air Berlin, he flew the Boeing 737, Airbus A320 and Airbus A330 aircraft types. Oliver Lackmann lives in Essen.
