German Airways flies from Bern for Swiss Lions Air and presents new livery
German Airways will start flying from Bern in May 2020. It has concluded a long-term wet lease agreement with Swiss airline Lions Air. The agreement covers the use of an Embraer E190 LR regional jet. The regional jet will be stationed at Bern Airport. From there, the aircraft will fly to attractive destinations in Italy, Spain and Greece.
Elisabeth Jesse, CCO of the Zeitfracht Group, on the cooperation agreement with Lions Air: “We are delighted to be able to expand German Airways’ customer portfolio in the long term. The agreement will also enable us to make a contribution to an important infrastructure project for the Swiss capital and the entire Canton of Bern”.
During the presentation of the partnership with Lions Air on Friday, German Airways also presented the new livery for its aircraft. A jet with the new livery had landed in Bern coming from Cologne.
Lions Air is an airline based in Zurich. It has been operating charter flights for 30 years and maintains a fleet of various aircraft and helicopters.
