Cologne/Bonn, Fort Lauderdale, August 28, 2024. German Airways, Germany's second oldest airline, has successfully extended existing lease agreements for its Embraer E190-100LR fleet with US aircraft leasing company Azorra and will intensify their collaboration. German Airways will also cooperate with Azorra on further fleet modernization and additionally work with the leasing company on its activities to expand its European business.
German Airways operates the 100-seat Embraer E190 on wet lease for renowned European airlines and also regularly charters the aircraft - for example to sports teams. With a generous seating arrangement, comfortable leather seats, and an impressive range, these aircraft offer our passengers the highest level of comfort.
"We are very proud of our performance for our customers so far and look forward to further expanding our position as one of the leading providers of wet lease and charter aviation services in Europe with more modern aircraft," says Maren Wolters, Managing Director of German Airways. "We were Azorra's first customer in Europe, and our long collaboration is characterized by mutual support. Azorra understands our needs as a medium-sized airline precisely and is able to develop individual solutions for us and adapt together with us to changing market situations. This flexibility is not often found in the industry."
