Freebird operates its first ever scheduled flight from Gatwick airport on Monday 23rd May, operating to Antalya & Bodrum

Following the launch of Manchester to Antalya services earlier in May, Monday 23rd May saw the commencement in Gatwick of the first of an expansive schedule service operation from the UK by Freebird Airlines from Gatwick to Turkey

The initial plan for Gatwick was delayed in Summer 2020 due to Covid, but with the easing of Covid regulations and benefiting from a secured pool of cleared Gatwick Airport slots, this has allowed Freebird to recommence operations to both Bodrum and Antalya.

Services from Gatwick to Antalya will operate to 4 x weekly, Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday. Bodrum flights will operate twice weekly Tuesday and Friday.

We believe this is an important asset when our passengers travel with us”

David Bell, Airline Business Development Manager, Gatwick Airport said: “We are delighted to welcome Freebird to the Gatwick Airport family. Antalya – and destinations in Turkey as a whole – is incredibly popular for those looking for family breaks, a couple’s retreat or getting away with friends. Freebird’s new service will offer passengers across London and the south east greater opportunity for a much-needed holiday.”

Carl Denton, UK Sales, added, “We are working hard to support UK Travel Businesses to offer the seat only content that builds the Holidays they wish to offer to their customers. Our goal is to support and work closely with these trade partners and welcome those not currently working with us, to join us in our journey!”
