Falko Regional Aircraft Limited (Falko), a market leading aircraft operating leasing and asset management company focused on the regional aircraft sector has provided a summary of its H1 2020 market activity.  In H1 2020, Falko acquired [4] regional aircraft, sold [3] aircraft and signed lease agreements or extensions relating to a further [26] aircraft.  As at 30 June 2021, Falko’s portfolio totaled [121] aircraft on lease to [19] customers worldwide.

Aircraft acquisitions focused on Embraer regional jets with 3 x Embraer E175s on lease to Republic Airways being added to Falko’s portfolio as well as a new ATR 72-600 recently delivered to US Bangla.

Commenting on the first half activity, Mark Hughes Falko’s Chief Commercial officer stated that:

“Our focus coming in to 2021 was to place off lease aircraft and manage near term lease maturities.  Given the challenges faced by airlines globally, we are delighted to have been able to sign new leases and extensions on 26 regional jet and turboprop aircraft.

We are particularly pleased to see strength in the EJet market where we have signed new leases on 6 x E190s and seen strong demand across the whole EJet family from E170 to E195.  We also have a strong pipeline that we are confident will deliver further placements in H2 2021. This reflects the strong recovery in domestic air travel globally which is clearly flowing through to demand for regional aircraft products.

We have also continued to invest in our sector during H1 2021 to develop and expand our portfolio with further acquisitions funded by the Falko Regional Aircraft Opportunities Fund II.  We have additional LOIs in place relating to a number of new aircraft opportunities that should close in the second half of the year”.
